Alessandro Valente discusses the future of betting ahead of the SBC Summit Latin America 2023

Alessandro Valente talks about the future of betting Before the meeting he spoke with media SBC Summit Latinoamérica 2023

Super Afiliados will be present at another major international event in the betting market. In this sense, on November 1st, our CEO and co-founder, Alessandro Valente, will lead the panel ‘Affiliate Leaders: Overcoming the traditional Affiliate-Operator relationship and building trust in Latin America” at the SBC Summit Latinoamérica 2023. So, before the meeting he talked with SBC Media about the most powerful weapons for affiliation, current market difficulties and expectations for regulation in the country.

Above all, the interview begins with Alessandro Valente showing the paths that affiliates should follow in Brazil. Firstly, establishing trust with the player will be fundamental. However, content is the weapon that will bring greater results for those who intend to work in the activity.

“Content is king! Long live the content. Seeing more and more ads in the media just makes me think about the return on investment compared to producing content that is relevant to the public and created using simple language with a strong emphasis on graphics, images and video”, explains our CEO.

Next, Alessandro Valente analyzes the expansion of sports betting in Brazil. In this sense, he states that operators were surprised and have suffered from a new type of inflation.

“Money is flowing into the market at an unprecedented rate resulting in cost inflation across all media sources. The cost per click has grown exponentially and we anticipate other significant increases. Influencers, once affordable, have suddenly become high-cost entities. This change happened almost overnight and we are not sure when this bubble will burst,” he said.

Considering that , when it comes to regulation, the CEO of Super Afiliados expects a stampede of mainstream media bookmakers. After all, he believes that current texts have a prohibitive nature. However, all of this could mean a new opportunity for affiliates.

“If this scenario develops, we can expect a flow of companies turning to affiliates as the main alternative for customer acquisition. In its current form, the legislation has little or no potential to attract business. Gray market activities may resurface. The industry will resort to these alternatives to survive; It’s a natural instinct,” he explains.

Finally, Alessandro Valente gives his perspective on the future of the industry. In short, it expects the market to be impacted by changes in legislation and bettor behavior.

“It’s uncertain, to a certain extent. Considering that heavy tax legislation and other issues are imminent; It can be said that the road ahead will be full of curves and obstacles. Additionally, we can expect a large volume of players switching operators. Users are increasingly discerning about how they spend their money. If the odds on sports betting are not favorable, they may find that other operators offer better payouts,” he concluded.
